Last seasons U10 Panthers have now merged with last seasons U10 Cougars to form this Seasons U11 Cougars. Whilst major changes to the teams were necessary due the larger squad sizes required for the U11 game and the decrease in pitch subsidies, the communication of the changes to the subs paying parents has been somewhat less than impressive. Whilst we were all issued a letter at the end of the season, on behalf of the then U10 managers, advising us of the situation with an assurance that we would be kept up to date with decisions affecting our children - to date the only notification of the changes we have had is two lines in the team section of this website. I brought this to the attention of the Panthers coach (now Cougars) and it was news to him also. I would suggest we start as we mean to go on and provide parents with clear and expedient communication on matters affecting our children - or make it clear that ALL communication will be posted on the website.

| Peter - the 'new' Panthers manager (Phil P) contacted me to ask me to make the amendments in the U11 age group on the website to reflect the change of name to the 'Panthers' for his team. This I did. I asked why the name had changed, and he told me about the 'original' Panthers/Cougars merger so I added a short note to reflect that as well. I administrate the website voluntarily (I am also asst manager of the U13 Eagles). In the first instance, communications to parents/teams should be from the associated team managers. I for instance, e-mail my parents & players on a weekly basis, keeping them up to date with all matters pertaining to the team and also hold meetings when required. All Managers & coaches have been invited to register for the popular Unicorn Forum so they can keep parents & players and other teams up to date with news & information. There are also the monthly managers meetings (where everyone with an interest in the club are invited to attend, not just managers & coaches) where issues are discussed across all the age groups. For some reason the AGM held in June was poorly attended by some age groups. This is the most important meeting of the Club calendar therefore was quite surprising really. |

Could have been because it was Fathers Day. |

| Peter - you are best speaking to your team manager about the latest situation, or the Unicorn club Secretary or the Chairman, details of whom can be found in the contacts section of the website. Regards, John |
