UNICORN TIGERS 2 - 2 OLD STRETFORDIANS AFC

After a short break from competitive action it was time for The Tigers to get back on the winning trail. Hindered by the absence of the St. Vincents lads who were on a school jolly to Eureka in Halifax, this was the first time that the team has had to play without any substitutes. It's funny how you can miss the mundane things in life but I have to admit to missing Mr Pricketts bawling of Ref, Ref, Substitutions, Refff. It was almost as if he wasn't there.

In the first session Stretfordians started off brightly but then against the run of play Tigers took the lead through Jake. Encouraged by this they came back into the game until Stretfordians equalised. From that point on the boys worked really hard and in the second fifteen took control of the game. Sam gave the Tigers the lead from a well made move and from this they should have secured the three points. However Stretfordians came back into it and with a few minutes left scored their second equaliser. On reflection it was probably a fair result and in that parallel world or ours it mirrored United's game at Arsenal.

All the seven players worked really hard and it is hoped that they all went to bed early last Saturday night to give their mummies and daddies some deserved respite. Thanks to all of them for their efforts. See you all this Saturday for a friendly or training. The next league match is on Saturday week at home to Urmston Town.
