UNICORN TIGERS 9C 1 - 3 ST JOHNS 9A

The game was played at The Willows School in Timperley.

After last weeks first point of the season the boys were relishing this match. So confident were they that some of them even did a cross country run before the match.
In the first session the Tigers were excellent and St Johns could hardly believe their good fortune when they took the lead from the obligatory break-away. As usual the Tigers fought back and scored a cracking goal from Adam - this time the goal matched his celebration. They played some lovely football during both the first two sessions showing they have listened at their training sessions. Looking for someone to pass to and making the ball do the work is what they did. Somehow St Johns managed to take the lead in the second session again against the run of play.
Phil and Steve told them to keep going and keep their heads up which is what they did although it has to be said that as the game went into the final session St. Johns gradually took control and scored their third.
There were a lot of good performances on the day and all the players deserve credit for the effort they put in.
The Tigers have now played all the top teams and hopefully in their next few fixtures they will reap some reward for all their endeavours.
Next week we are away at Ashton-on-Mersey.
