Sale Utd 0 v Falcons 4
The Falcons rounded off a memorable 2007, in which they were promoted from Divison 2 and league cup winners, by finishing the year with a superb 4-0 victory against Sale United A.
The first half was a evenly matched with both sides unable to convert clear cut scoring chances into goals. (HT 0-0)
However after the interval the Timperley side took control of the game and were able to turn long periods of territorial advantage into an emphatic victory with goals from Joel , George , Travis and Dan .
Equally pleasing, was the fact that the defence recorded their second clean sheet of the season and demonstrated that they are coming to terms with the increased levels of speed and skill of attackers in the top division .
This win lifts the Falcons up to 5th position in divison one of the under 12s age group, just two place behind the Eagles who recorded a great win against Fletcher Moss .
The Falcons wish all other Unicorn teams a great Christmas and New Year and a successful 2008. |
