Sale 'A' 1 Eagles 5 - Div 1, Sun 2nd March
With the wind in their favour in the 1st period, Sale made the most of the early exchanges and scored to make it 1-0 after Jack had made a great save only for the ball to fall to a Sale forward to capitalise. This signalled a fight back from the Eagles, and it was no suprise when Mark, playing as a lone striker in Dino's abscence, equalised. Mark scored another to make it 1-2 at half time.
The Eagles, with the wind in their hair in the 2nd period, made the most of the conditions, and further goals from Will, Hussain & Shaun cemented a fine Eagles perfromance.
Sammy A made his debut and had a good game, as did all the players. With no subs and a stand-in keeper, it was a pleasing performance and it made it 3 on the bounce for the blue & whites.
Good luck to Gary, Colin and the Sale boys for the rest of the season, always a pleasure when we meet up with them and have a chat.
