Despite much endeavour from the Falcons, Fletcher Moss were too good on the day and fully deserved their 3-0 victory, which lifts them above the Timperley side in the league table. Goals just before and just after half time, and a third with the final kick off the game were fair reward for an excellent display of passing football which had the Falcons on the back-foot for extended periods, especially in the second half.

The Unicorn side can, however, take many postives from the game- not least that they are competing well against some of the best teams in the area; and that in their first season in division one, they have reached a mid-table position just behind a team of the stature of Fletcher Moss with many years of premier league experience. All in all a great achievement for a side that has exceeded all expectations over the past few months.

The next match is against Wilmslow Sports on Tuesday at BTH. Kick off 6.30. (Home kit)
