For the second time in the space of a few days the Falcons were well beaten by a classy performance from a team from the top half of the division one table - this time Wilmslow Sports inflicting a 0-4 defeat that could have been worse except for exceptional performances from Danny in goals and Sam at the heart of the defence.
The first quarter of the match was relatively even but after Wilmslow had taken the lead from a superb inswinging corner, the away side moved up a gear and turned an excellent performance which demonstrated the value of a good first touch, slick passing and player movement.
The Falcons battled hard throughout but on the day were second best in most areas- this in part may have been due to the fact that 3 of the team had already played a full school match between 4.30 and 5.30 on the same evening!!
Hopefully the Falcons can turn in an improved performance when the teams meet again on Friday evening. (Kick off 6.30 at Wilmslow High School)
