The under 9 jets had another good Saturday, this time by winning their first ever festival at Urmston Meadowside! With 20 teams in 3 different groups, it was always going to be a long day but the Jet kept their poise & concentration by qualifying for the QF's with 4 wins, 1 draw and one loss in the group matches.

In their QF against 1st div Fletcher Moss, the boys managed a 1-1 draw after extra time, and won the resulting nail-biting penalty shootout. In the semi final the boys won 2-1 with a winnr from Ryan against 1st div Urmston Meds. In the final against Mossley 'A' from Liverpool the score was 0-0 AET and again it was down to another penalty shootout to decide the destination of the trophy, which the Jets won.

A great day for the lads - well done everyone!

Mossley presented the Jets captain Nathan Phillips with a 'friendship' plaque before the final which was a really nice touch.
