U11 div 1 Sunday 14th Jan 2007
P9 W3 D2 L4 - Current place 7th
A superb game and an important win played in front of the Channel M cameras down at Crossford bridge this morning. The Eagles dominated the game before Sale broke and Jack ended up conceding a penalty. Willie (the Cat) Baxter saved the penalty brilliantly! The game ebbed and flowed before Mark slotted home the winning goal in the 2nd half from an unselfish lay off from Dino. The Eagles defended well and were very happy at the final whistle. A great all round team performance. The boys leapfrog Sale to go into 7th place in Div 1 and stil have a couple of games in hand over higher placed teams. A win against Ashton next week would push the boys even further up the league.
