Unicorn Under 11's Win Flixton Football Festival
The Unicorn under 11 Eagles entered two team into the Flixton six a side tournament on Saturday 16th June. Both the 'Vipers' and 'Cobras' managed to get to the semi finals of the tournament with the Vipers beating Bromley Cross, while the Cobras gave a great account of themselves in their Semi against FC Sporting Sale but lost a thouroughly enjoyable match. The Vipers, cheered on by their team mates, went on to win the final against a skilful and well drilled FC Sporting Sale, in a nailbiting and memorable match by virtue of a penalty shootout after the game finished one a piece after extra time. Well done to both teams and also a special mention to the Unicorn Falcons who made it to the quarter finals. Thank you to Flixton for organising such an enjoyable and well run tournament.
