TIMPERLEY VIKINGS 2 - 2 UNICORN TIGERS

This was a good test for The Tigers after their two previous convincing victories. If the boys were over-confident then The Vikings' brilliant long range shot which went over Joe's head and clipped under the bar soon gave them a reality check. The Tigers took a while to get into the game and were fortunate only to be one down at the end of the first session.

In the second session they played with more purpose until a lapse in defence gave Timperley a soft goal to put them two up. After that The Tigers took control of the game. I think because of that this was their best performance of the season so far. They had to roll their sleeves up and work really hard. I thought I heard murmurings of Prickett Out for the first time this season which I thought was very unfair. Anyway I digress. Ruori had a shot which looked like it could have been in his own half and what a goal it was. This only made the Tigers fight even more. In the last session it was all one way and when Sam equalised there was only going to be one winner. Time catches up on us all one day and this day it caught up with the boys as the final whistle went to end the game in a captivating draw. A fine performance by all of the players - none more so than Joe in goal.

Next Monday's training will be given by Andy and myself. Please wear your shin pads and all the padding you need as my tackling isn't as accurate as it used to be - if it ever was.

After a sluggish start The Tigers turned up which is more than can be said of the Muffins. Where were they? The first yellow card in the Tigers' history should be given to the culprits. Also could we all pay attention on the touchline - a little birdie tells me that somebody who shall remain nameless went home convinced we had won 2-1.
