Unicorn Eagles 5 Wythenshawe Town 3
Manchester FA County Cup 2nd round
What a fanastic game played out in traditional cup tie style by both teams. Wyth Town took the lead early on with a scrappy goalmouth goal, but Eagles equalised with a super goal from Mark. The Eagles then went 2-1 up when Chris volleyed in from a great cross to open his Eagles account. Wyth Town then drew level to make the half time score 2-2.
Mark again popped up with a lethal shot into the corner in the early part of the 2nd half to make it 3-2 but Town once again drew level. The Eagles took this as a signal to step up a gear and it was no suprise when Charlie popped up to put away his 1st goal of the season. Harry who was again superb (in a superb team display) lobbed the Eagles 5th from the half way line as the Town keeper, who had gone forward for a corner, was trying to get back.
This was a great cup tie played in the best of spirits between 2 good teams. Special note also to the ref Chris who gave a mature, controlled display way beyond his years! ROLL ON ROUND 3!
MOM - Mark with 2 great goals

PS - Broadheath away next Sunday - 12:30 kick off at Salisbury Field.
