OSWALD ROAD 3 - 0 UNICORN TIGERS

Oh the joys of getting up early on a Sunday morning to watch the boys play. This Sunday we played at Chorlton Park against Oswald Road and we were lucky to get the game on after the torrential downpours of the previous few days. I received a phone call late on the Saturday night asking would I mind taking my pitchfork down to the park at five in the morning in an attempt to make the pitch playable. I was proud to do so.

In some countries throughout the world it is an obsession to save face and I have convinced myself I must suffer from toxicophobia [sic]. That is why I am glad that the ladies have disregarded my hints on the bacon butty front. Shame on you ladies. Talking of ladies it's a good job the fashion police weren't in attendance - you know who you are lady.

So far this season they have played four games and not had the rewards they deserve. This game was no exception. The Tigers created many chances but were unable to take them and as usual were punished for it. OR are really a lovely well-run club but it's about time we beat them. The Tigers only had nine players available and they are worked very hard without any respite. Even when Tom got injured he had to soldier in the team's cause. OR took the lead and in between the numerous chances that the Tigers created they scored their second. When they scored their third late on it seemed a little unfair on the boys but they still plugged away and got some reward when they were awarded a penalty right at the end of the game. It was missed but nonetheless a very good performance.

I know this is a little late but I have been busy. I apologise and last Sundays report will follow very shortly.
