Eagles 6 Benchill 1
Great workout for the Eagles v Benchill. Cheers to the Celtic for agreeing to have a friendly as both teams had no league game and had players available. 4 goals from monsieur dino plus goals from Mark & Louis ensured Eagles won comfortably against the team riding high in the 3rd division. The wind was against the heyes laners in the 2nd half, but once the lads got used it, they established their hold on the match.
The attitude from both sets of players was superb. no swearing, no cynical fouling, no 'win at all costs' tactics (very boring...) just 2 teams of 11 year olds enjoying football. Hey - isn't that what's its all about?
More of the same next week lads against table topping Meds!
